About
Pocket Lap started because we were tired of app store descriptions that promise everything and reviews that say nothing. We wanted a place where someone actually finished the tutorial, drove a few laps, and then told you whether it was worth your evening.
The team is small on purpose. A couple of us have been playing mobile games since the flip-phone days, and we still argue about which arcade racer had the best drift model. That kind of nerdy love is what keeps the writing honest.
We pick games by hand. Some come from browsing new releases, some from reader tips, some from stumbling onto a weird gem at midnight. There is no schedule that forces us to praise anything. If a game is dull, we say so and move on.
Recently we spent a full week with Casinacho Win, and the notes from that run turned into one of our longer write-ups. That is the kind of depth we aim for: sit down, play properly, then report back.
